How To Verify Payoneer's US Payment Service:
Before using the US Payment service you will need to verify it by providing ID document. Follow the steps given below to verify your USP service:

1.Login to your Payoneer account.

2.Click on services > US Payment Service.Activate your service.

3.You will receive an email in your inbox with links to upload your ID document and a short questionnaire. 

4.Follow the link to upload your ID documents. You can use your ID card or driving license. Don't worry if it is not in English. They only need government issued card.

5. Now follow the link to questionnaire. Here you will have to explain your source of income (i.e. where the money is coming from). Be specific and tell them from where and how you will receive the money. Identify the name of company from where you are expecting to receive money.

6. After 2-3 days you will receive another email saying "please send us a screenshot of your **** account profile". **** will be company you have listed in questionnaire. Provide them the screenshot.

7. It will only take 2-3 days for Payoneer staff to verify your USP service.

Note:

• Do not try to give fake information.
• Make sure that the scanned copy of ID document is clear and readable.
• The ID card number should be same to the one which you used while signup.
• Your request can be delayed if the next day is Saturday or Sunday. So be patient.

With the new Facebook free calling app, your voice plan may be obsolete

Last month Facebook rolled out on its standalone messenger app an option to make free voice calls. This same functionality has now been added to its flagship iOS application. The new version 5.5 is currently live in the Apple’s App store and users that live in U.S. and Canada can now call friends for free just by hitting the button on the right hand side bar.
To see the voice-calling option you just have to tap on a friend’s name, the button will then show up on the top right corner of the screen. If that friend happens to be online at that particular time, the “Free call” button should be made clickable for you to dial them directly without having to know their number. In case the friend is not online the button will be grayed out.
Facebook usually uses its standalone app to test out new features on its smaller user base before releasing the final version on the main application.

Facebook started offering voice functionality earlier this year. The social network first began by offering users the ability to send a one minute voice message. Then the features was extended to the iOS and Android messenger applications. The next step was to test an open source VoIP calling option. It was first tested on Canadian iOS Messenger users that were using a data plan and later on the feature was introduced into the U.S market a few weeks later.

With its new voice calling feature it is obvious that Facebook is not much interested in strengthening its partnership with skype which had powered Facebook’s voice calling tests on the desktop in the past.

Entering voice messaging and VoIP world could be a way for Facebook to kick out the default calling apps on smartphones. Facebook knows that if it wants to remain the biggest social network, it can’t just limit itself to just news feeds and profiles. Knowing who a user is close enough to to exchange voice recordings and calls with will help Facebook determine which Friends on your “Friends’ list” you are really close to. This information can then help the social network improve on its algorithm in such a way that your news feed becomes more relevant in relation to the friends that matter to you.


If that plan should succeed there are more chances that users start using Facebook for friend to friend communication. Having this friend to friend free voice calls going on could open another revenue stream for Facebook. We already know the social giant is now willing to charge users for sending messages to strangers on its network. It will not be a surprise if there is also a fee involved in voice calling a stranger.
Eventually this Facebook feature might be able to kill the calling aspect of the smartphone. As at now iPhone and iPad users should be able to download the latest update from iTunes. Android users will have to wait for a while as the Facebook team is testing it out first.

US Bans Smartphone Unlocking

A ban making it illegal for Americans to unlock their smartphone, so it runs on more than one mobile network, has gone into effect.

Smartphone users in the US now officially have to get permission to unlock their smartphone, following a ruling handed down by the Librarian of Congress – the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution.

Up until January 26, US consumers were able to ask their carrier to unlock the phone under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), but this right has now been removed.

Alternatively, users could buy unlocked versions from manufacturers, but these handsets were normally more expensive than those locked to one network.

Petition launched to US Government

In relation to the hotly-contested change, a We the People petition to the US Government has been set up against the new ruling. Nearly 33,000 people have so far signed it.

The Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal petition says: “Consumers will be forced to pay exorbitant roaming fees to make calls while traveling abroad. It reduces consumer choice and decreases the resale value of devices that consumers have paid for in full.

“We ask that the White House ask the Librarian of Congress to rescind this decision, and failing that, champion a bill that makes unlocking permanently legal.”

The petition needs about 67,000 more signatures by February 23 this year to reach its goal of 100,000. It will then cross the second threshold and require a response from the US Government.

‘Infringing on firmware copyrights’

The ban on unlocking phones was first announced in October last year by the Librarian of Congress, which found that the procedure amounted to infringing on firmware copyrights.

Smartphone users were given a 90-day time limit that made it legal to unlock phones without permission.

Pop-up sites

Several online services offering to unlock phones for a small fee now seem to have surfaced, and some have said the change will not impact them.

One US registered website openly says it can ‘unlock any iPhone’ and claims its software can find the ‘best unlocking solution’ to do the job.
